We are proud to carry on the long standing tradition of public golf in the heart of central Maine which dates back to 1932. Players at all skill levels will find our course to be casual, active, well maintained, and challenging. Our goal is to make Western View golf experience feel like this is your home course.
How do we handle golf in the winter-time in Maine? We move our games indoors to our Trackman indoor golf simulator and we remain open to the public, of course. With indoor winter golf leagues, a Sunday Scramble, Friday night “closest to the pin” contests, and scheduled indoor golf tee times available 7 days per week, there is no reason to let your golf game suffer just because it’s cold outside.
From course improvements to creative pub offerings to personalized events, we aim to make Western View a destination that people look forward to returning over and over again. Western View is a place where golf, food, and community all come together. We are about bringing people together to golf, relax, celebrate, and have a good time.
Our pub is an affordable, year-round, family-friendly gathering place where you’ll find cold drinks, good food, and a laid-back vibe waiting for you. We work very hard to maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our patrons to come relax, meet up with friends, and enjoy the fun - there’s always something happening and always a seat saved for you.
The View … oh the view!!! Yes, we got our name from the fact that Western View sits high on top of Bolton Hill on the rural east-side of Augusta. We enjoy an amazing view of western Maine with vistas spanning as far as Mt Washington in New Hampshire. Our sunsets are spectacular and are truly worth experiencing.
While we are bragging, you should really meet our staff … amazing people and true professionals. Our team is friendly, welcoming, and real go-getters. They work incredibly hard everyday to make sure that your Western View experience is something special.
